BRIGHTMAN, HOFFMAN AND BANDIT HELP GRATEFUL DEAD BID FARE THEE WELL

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – It was a celebration of epic proportions as the four original members of The Grateful Dead (Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, and Bob Weir) reunited at Soldier’s Field, almost twenty years to the day after they played their last concert with Jerry Garcia. They were joined onstage by frequent musical comrades Trey Anastasio, Bruce Hornsby and Jeff Chimenti. 70,000 Deadheads filled the stadium each night on July 3rd, 4th and 5th while millions streamed the show online and watched on Pay Per View to say goodbye to one of the most iconic bands in history. 2015 also marked the Grateful Deads’ 50th year in the business. The show was produced by Peter Shapiro and Madison House Presents.

CHAUVET ROGUE RH1 HYBRID A HIT AT BANDIT

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – When Albert and Berenice Chauvet gave Bandit Chair Michael T. Strickland a personal demo of their newest brainchild, the Rogue RH1 Hybrid early in 2015, little did anyone know it would quickly lead to a large Bandit purchase of these fine units.

Following the demo, Bandit TSD Director and technical guru Jake Tickle analyzed the light and put it throught the paces.

“The Chauvet Rogue RH1 Hybrid is a great fixture with a versatile feature set, high output at a very attractive price,” said Tickle. “The much talked about dual prism feature sets it apart from the rest of the pack.”

BANDIT BRINGS BIGGEST FIREFLY FESTIVAL TO DATE

DOVER, DELEWARE – More than 90,000 music lovers turned out for another weekend of music in The Woodlands at The Firefly Music Festival. Bandit Lites provided the festival lighting for the stages which featured performances by The Killers, Foster the People, Snoop Dogg, Paul McCartney, Morrissey, and Zedd.

“A part of The Killers’ look is the use of truss spots on either side of the stage, instead of having fixtures downstage,” said project manager Matt King. “For the rest of the bands, we needed to provide some downstage wash light. Dizzy Gosnell loaded a downstage truss with VL 3500 Washes to handle this task. Another addition that Diz made was to add fixtures above and below the video screens in the wings. This helped make the stage bigger and integrate the audience into the show.”
