BANDIT LITES RETURNS TO LOLLAPALOOZA

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – Lollapalooza returned to Grant’s Park for its annual four-day music festival complete with performances from artists across a wide swath of genres, including rock, pop, alternative, blues, country, hip hop and EDM. Bandit Lites worked with C3 Presents to provide a lighting package of nearly 400 fixtures for Perry’s Stage as well as site lighting across the festival where an estimated 400,000 music fans turned out for the festival’s 25th year.

“The Perry’s Stage is basically a festival within the festival,” explained Brandon Sossamon, C3 Productions Director. “It has to be unique I leaned heavily on Chris Lisle Lighting Design (CLLD) to come up with a fresh look. My goals were to load in and out safely and economically without compromising the level of production

BANDIT LITES BRINGS MORE CHAUVET PROFESSIONAL FIXTURES TO TOURING INVENTORY

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – Bandit Lites, the world’s leader in entertainment lighting, has added a large amount of new CHAUVET Professional fixtures to its touring inventory, specifically the Chauvet Pyxis and the Chauvet Rogue R3 Wash.

The award-winning Maverick MK Pyxis offers designers an infinite amount of eye-candy looks, ranging from beam to wash effects, a continuous 360° pan and tilt movement as well as aerial and pixel-mapping effects. The compact moving head fixture can be seen in Chris Lisle’s design for Chris Young’s Raised on Country World Tour as well as Craig Richter’s design for rock band Halestorm and Steve Comer’s design for music legend Jackson Browne.

BAND OF HORSES TAKES BANDIT LITES ON THE ROAD

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – American rock group Band of Horses recently wrapped a summer tour with a lighting package provided by Bandit Lites. Lighting designer Dara Guiney built upon the previous design by Ben Marx and added more incandescent looks, expanding the design to give a more panoramic feel.

Bandit Lites supplied Elation CuePix WW2 Blinders, Martin MAC Auras, Elation Chorus Line 16 fixtures and Mega-lite Circa Scoops. Placed on old film stands with wheels, the Scoops provided the classic conventional look appropriate for folk bands while allowing for easy access to roll on and off stages at festivals.

BANDIT LITES PURCHASES CLAYPAKY GEAR FOR SUMMER TOURS

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – Summer may be winding down but Bandit Lites production schedule is still packed with tours, festivals and events. Due to the immense demand, the global lighting company has made another sizeable investment in Claypaky gear including the new Scenius Unico and Mythos 2 from Bandit’s good friends at ACT.

The Claypaky Scenius Unico can be utilized as both a spotlight for projecting effects and a wash light and features six rotating gobos, a rotating prism and an animation wheel. It also shoots a powerful narrow beam of hyper concentrated light. Bandit Lites supplied Scenius Unico fixtures for Nick Whitehouse’s design for Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty Tour 360.
