BANDIT AWARDED LIGHTING COMPANY OF THE YEAR

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – Industry leaders from around the world descended into Music City February 21 for the 26th Annual Pollstar Awards, where Bandit Lites received its 22nd Lighting Company of the Year Award.

Hosted by comedian Ralphie May, the Pollstar Awards occur during Pollstar Live and celebrates the music industry’s movers and shakers. This year’s event took place at the historic Ryman Auditorium, which was also awarded Theater of the Year. 

Bandit chair and founder, Michael T. Strickland accepted the award, crediting Bandit’s wildly successful year to both its employees and clients, and dedicating it to the late Bob See of See Factor. The award was presented to Bandit by Cinderella lead singer Tom Kiefer.

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED SWIMSUIT COVER LAUNCHES WITH BANDIT

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – While there were talks of a winter storm brewing for Nashville, the city was all about bikinis and great music as Sports Illustratedchose Music City to launch the 2015 Swimsuit Edition. The Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted the event where lighting designer John Lucksinger and production manager Chris Lisle worked with Bandit Lites to provide lighting for the A-List event dubbed as “Swimville.”

Swimville was held on Broadway with six bands performing a free show each day on Wednesday and Thursday. More than 15,000 people came out on the first day alone to see performances by Will Hogue, The Weeks, and Chris Young, and also to meet this year’s SI models who were available to sign autographs and take photos. Bandit provided gear for the grand entrance along with a lighting package for the performances.

BANDIT HELPS CREATE 'SPECTACLE" FOR WINTER JAM

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – The Winter Jam Tour Spectacular is back on the road for their 2015 leg of jaw-dropping performances and worship. Pollstar reported Winter Jam as #1 in 2014’s First Quarter Year To Date Worldwide Ticket Sales chart, and this year looks to be even bigger with performances by Skillet, Jeremy Camp, Francesca Battistelli, Building 429, Family Force, Newsong, For King & Country, Blanca, About a Mile, Veridia and speaker Tony Nolan. Bandit Lites is proud to once again work with production manager Jerry Holcomb to provide the lighting for this incredibly ministry.

Equipment included Clay Paky B Eye K 20 wash lights, Martin Vipers, Vari-Lite VL 3500 washes, Clay Paky Sharpys, Martin Atomic 3000 Strobes, 4 lite inline moles, Color Force 72 wash lights, 60 foot black A type circle truss divided into 3 sections all lined with 12 mil LED product.
